Basic Service Fee $35.00

• Resolution of initial problem.
  • If any other problems are noticed with the computer the customer will be notified. The customer may choose to have KCnet do the additional repairs or replace the parts if needed for an additional fee. The customer understands that if additional parts are needed they will need to allow for ordering and shipping time.

Enhanced Service Fee $70.00

Includes everything that is included in the Basic and Free Service.
    Plus

• Antivirus program along with updates and Scan

• Antispyware program along with updates and Scan

• Install SP3 for Win XP or SP1 for Vista

• Install Microsoft Updates

• Run diagnostic tests on the modem to make sure it connects at a good speed

• Install and check Hypernet if customer has it

• Update Java

• Update Adobe Reader

• Update Flash

• Update Quicktime

• Check RAM and suggest an upgrade if needed

• Check Hard Drive space and suggest an upgrade if needed

• Defragment

• Air out / Dust machine

NOTE: This fee will also include installing/replacing memory, CD/DVD-RW, modems, Video cards, Sound cards, installing a program or Hard Drive as a backup, and other non complex procedures. The customer understands that if additional parts are needed they will need to allow for ordering and shipping time. This fee does not included the cost of parts, if needed.

Formatting / Restoring Fee $70.00

**Warning**
Formatting or restoring a computer means taking everything that is currently stored in files or folders off the computer permanently.

This procedure includes everything from Basic and Enhanced Services.
   Plus

If a format or restore is needed the customer will be notified.
The customer will need to supply KCnet with any disks that came with the computer to aid in the restore process.
If the customer does not have any or all of the disk the restore process may go slower than normal and the customer may not have all of their desired programs reinstalled.
KCnet can not save any programs that have been installed on the computer, only the files that the programs created.
If the customer wishes to have files saved for restoration after the procedure is completed the customer will need to make a list of the desired files and folders.

KCnet can not be held accountable for lost or unrecoverable data during extraction

The customer may wish to purchase a CD of their backed-up data after the restore has been completed at $5 per CD
Customers are welcome to bring their own CDs or Backup Media.

Data Extraction Only fee $45.00

This service can be used for customers who want a backup of their data or for customers who have purchased a new computer and wish to have their data moved to their new computer.

KCnet can not be held accountable for lost or unrecoverable data during extraction.

Customers are welcome to bring their own CDs or Backup Media.
For customers who wish KCnet to provide the back up media, and whose data exceeds the 1400MB limit, the fee will be an additional $7 charge per CD.

Priority Service fee $150.00

Priority Service is when a customer brings a computer in and needs/wants it back in an allotted time period specified by the customer (within reason), and we have to remove someone else’s computer from the bench to start working on theirs to fulfill the request.
       
We will do our best to get this done; however, there are no guarantees due to unforeseen complications with the computer beyond our control
 
EXAMPLE: If parts are needed and have to be ordered, this will delay the  progress. If this happens you will still owe the priority service fee, because we have interrupted someone else’s repair to perform services on your computer

Major Repairs fee $100.00

• Motherboard Replacement
• Laptop LCD panel replacements
• Laptop keyboard replacement
• Any other major repairs that require intricate procedures

The customer understands that if additional parts are needed they will need to allow for ordering and shipping time. This fee does not include the cost of parts, if needed.

Business Class Virus Removal fee $70.00 for the first hour and $45.00 per hour thereafter

This feature is for business people who have a virus and do not want the computer formatted because of the difficulty of loading specific programs and features.

We will attempt to try to remove the virus, however, this is not a guarantee that we can  remove it without formatting. Due to the nature of some viruses formatting / restoring is the only option to insure a clean, virus free system.
Please understand that if we spend 2 hours trying to remove the virus and the end result is a format, you will be charged for 2 hours of Business Class Virus Removal, plus the format fee.

Computer Pick up and Delivery

If a person needs their computer picked up or delivered to their residence, the cost is as follows:

• Within a 10 mile radius of KCnet, the Cost is $10.00 Pickup

• Within a 10 mile radius of KCnet, the Cost is $10.00 Delivery

• Outside the 10 Mile radius, there will be an additional $0.50 added per mile
