KCnet Dialer Setup Information



First download the KCnet dialer by clicking here.

Save the dialer install file to your desktop.
Once you have the dialer downloaded, double click on it to begin the installation.

This is the first screen you will see when you double click on the KCnet dialer install icon.
Click Yes to install the dialer.

(The images on this page are only examples of what you will see when you

 intall the KCnet Dialer on your computer.  You will not be able to click on them 

because they are only pictures.)




Once the dialer is installed this icon will appear on your desktop.
Double click this icon in the future to open the dialer to begin connecting.


 


Click Yes to the agreement.



If you use Windows XP you will see a screen like this after the install is complete.
If you want all Windows XP users to be able to use KCnet leave the dot beside All Users.


If you want to limit the use of KCnet to your Windows XP username place a dot 

beside My use only.


Also place a check beside Add a shortcut on the desktop.
These options are not available in Windows 95/98/ME.




 



Enter your KCnet username and password when you see this window.
Remember, your KCnet username will not contain capital letters and will not be longer than 8 characters.


Place a check beside Save password so you do not need to retype your password each time you want to connect.


 


Once you have entered your username and password click the properties button to enter the phonebook section.


Click Phone Book to select your dialup access number.



Select a number and click ok.


Repeat this for the second phone book button.


Make sure you select a local access number so you do not get a long distance phone bill.


Once you have select local access numbers and have entered your username and password you are ready to click connect.
