This airplane was specifically designed as a flying Pick-up truck and for the purpose of supporting missionaries in their services to underdeveloped areas of South America.

It’s no frills “Bush Plane” with a cargo space capable of hauling 4 ft x 8 ft sheets of building materials flat on the floor behind the pilot.  With 100 gallons of fuel and the pilot on board it still has a “ Throwable” payload of over 1200 pounds. The out and back range without refueling is safely 250 miles.

As a result of legal action against El Gavilan S.A. for non-payment issues, we ( GATS, Inc. ) became the owner of all engineering data associated with this TC on April 6, 2006.

On March 7, 2008, the FAA issued an “Order of Revocation” for United States Type Certificate # A00002NY.  The reason for revocation was that the TC Holder did not perform the responsibilities of a TC Holder per FAR 21.3.
